Today in Trento President Kyle Krause, spoke to the media spoke to the media for the first time since his arrival yesterday.
"For this season we have kept many players from last year, there have been 5 new additions and we have already noticed a greater interaction between them, they look more like a team. I saw them both at the training camp and in the hotel. Last season taught us two lessons: avoid relegation and put together a team that can function as a team in the shortest possible time. I think I can say that, also on behalf of Fabio, he did not have great surprises, he noticed the presence of different talents within the team and I think he can be happy with the material he has available. And I am at the complete disposal of our coach to know where there are needs and once he has expressed his wishes, it will be the scouting part that will have to recover what will be needed. Seeing his game, we need players of depth, of outsiders. We do not have a lack of talent, but of more specific roles." "The Corporate Managing Director? And the Managing Director Sport? It was an honor and a pleasure to have been able to officially announce the engagement attributed to Luca, who is a man of great experience and with a very significant career behind him. He is a person I know and I have already had the opportunity to meet him, talking to him several times and I am very happy, but also very surprised, for the very talented figures who have proposed themselves to fill the position of Managing Director Sport, figures at European level but as I have already had the opportunity to say in the last two years, our idea of this role is not in line with the Italian consideration of this role. He must not scout or supervise the Men's First Team. The figure that we aim to identify is that of a person who not only has experience in the world of football, but also to give a direction to what I call 'Parma mode' at 360 degrees. As I said a couple of conferences ago, we are not far from identifying this figure but the research continues, for us it is important to find the right person. Our team in the sports sector is working well and is able to accept this challenge. I return to the United States this week and have no press conference planned to make announcements of this kind. I'm a very competitive person, I like to win. The success that we can achieve with Parma Calcio in the men's sector will also depend a lot on what we do in the youth sector. And developing the youth sector takes years, takes time. We have to identify the methodology, the approach, to adopt this also in the First Team. And in order to contribute to the development of boys and girls, we will strengthen the performance and analytics sector by including new resources, new people. The primary goal is to return to Serie A, I am also willing to make short-term decisions to do this. I see in the future a younger team, but not only made up of young people. With guys taken all over Europe. I am a fan and a lover of Italian football, I am a supporter of the Italian national team, many in our squad will be Italians. In 5 years we will also have a new stadium and a new sports center with all the benefits that these structures will give to both men's and women's football. Serie B? I will seem incongruous, but I am pleased that it has strengthened. This allows us to raise the level of what we are doing. For me it would be much better against 19 amateur teams, but that's not what will happen. Our aim is to make the investments and efforts to bring the team back to where it deserves, in Serie A, which is what the fans want, like all of us. My promise for the season? I can't promise promotion, if that's what you were referring to. But I can promise to make every effort, all within our capabilities, to make promotion our goal. If we look at the last two seasons, we too have made mistakes and I don't think it makes much sense to look for the culprits. If you then ask me if this one that is being born is the strongest Parma of the last two seasons, surely it is. If we look at two seasons ago, we have added a new coach, a new sporting director and made a lot of decisions at the end of the transfer market. And in hindsight, we didn't have the type of team to stay in Serie A. As for last year, we had several players who wanted the Parma team. And if they didn't want to stay, Parma also didn't want to keep them. It is not an accusation, some of the players who left Parma, went to teams at European level also obtaining important results. Now we have a hard core of players who have been playing together for a long time, they know each other and you can immediately notice it on the pitch. Returning to the promises, we will do what is necessary to return Parma to a successful team in the long term. This will involve investments today for tomorrow."

With the captain finally joining up with the rest of the squad this week at Val di Pejo. Gigi spoke of his desire to continue and how he is ready for the new Serie B season.
"I am not 100 years old. There were ten years at Parma in the first life, 20 years at Juve in the second, then one in Paris, two back in Juve and now I close the circle here at Parma" When quizzed about his retirement: "I'm retiring at 55? Yes,more or less. I've been thinking for many years about when I'll stop. I'm not sure I'll stay in this world, maybe I'll experience something else, I know football but I'm curious and I like to know other worlds." The strongest players he has played with: "I don't mention a name because maybe I am conditioned by the relationships that exist. I can say the five strongest Italian: Baggio, Totti, Del Piero, Pirlo and Cassano. Among the top foreigners I say, Thuram, Naymar, Mbappe, CR7, Ibra and I only say attackers because they are the ones who in the end catch the eye and make you dream" The best monemt of your career? "It's difficult to choose one, In a career like mine there are many good and bad moments. The greatest point of satisfation was the World Cup. I was 28 years old. I was playing. I thought at this point had already played over half my career but I hadn't I wasn't even half way. Kyle Krause: "We believe in the development of women's football."
11/07/2022 - Upon his return from Ametica Kyle Krause along with sporting director Domenico Aurelio and coach Fabio Ulderici, the presedent illustrated the developments in the womens sector. Heres what he had to say; "I have just arrived back from America yesterday, I saw on the television the somewhat disappointing debut of the Italian national team at the European Championships, I would like to wish them well for the future of the tournament. In a few days I will go to Pejo where the mens first team are currently in retreat and I will have the opportunity to see them train and possibly play. In retreat I will also have the opportunity to say hello to the Womens team who after a few days work in Collecchio they will also head up to the mountains over the weekend. The fact that both the mens and womens teams meet in Pejo is testimony to our willingness to act in a similar way, but not the same. The fact our men's team, women's team and academy teams all have the opportunity to prepare in Pejo in the first step in a joint effort. It would be madness not to exploit the power that the mens team has experienced in the titles and history it has in order not to favour the growth of the womens sector. So there will surly be join initiatives to contribute to the further growth of the womens sector." "This will be our first season in Serie A and it will be very important with a lot of work to do. This is why I hope in collaboration with the media they will give space to the womens movement to help us involve our fans as much as possible, as you know womens football is looked at very differently from mens football here in Italy, that's why I appeal for your support, speaking and giving visibility to womens football to create greater involvment. The announcement of our acquisition of a Serie A club was a few weeks ago since then a lot has been done and the two gentlemen who are sitting here next to me, the Sporting Director, Domenico Aurelio and the Coach, Fabio Ulderici know it well but I would like to extend my thanks to all those who have worked at Parma Calcio to make this possible. As for expectations, far be it for me to want to put pressure on the Sports Director or Coach we are presenting the main expectation is for the team to stay in Serie A and to grow the womens sector. It is therefore with great pleasure that I present these two figures today, we were very lucky to involve them in our project they are teo figures with important experience and with excellent references." "As for the expectations for the future, as I mentioned before the goal is to keep us in the league and improve. The womens Serie A boasts several clubs that have played in that league for much longer than us, so the current goal is not to close the gap in a very short time, it will take time..... Anyway you know my love for Italy but why not go to Europe too? and set ourselves a future goal, to go to Europe!" "I don't know if our approach to both men and women is global because at European and World level there are companies that operate like this. I come from a country where womens football has been promoted a lot more and has had greater visibilty than here in Italy. I don't have the answers at my disposal but one thing is for sure is that both Parma Calcio and I in general believe in the growth of womens football and I stress it deserves the right visibility because this can help the growth of the movement. That is why I ask for a collaboration to be able to create this fantastic product that also attracts the new generations and makes the product grow." "The Serie A championship will begin on 27th and 28th August, we are all waiting for you...." Press Conference 09/01/2021
"I want to protect what we have achieved in recent years, something unrepeatable. I am happy to be back home but I am not happy with the fact the team is doing badly." "Now we must reset and work all together to obtain salvation. It is inevitable to think about the transfer market and reinforcements. I have been here for a few hours and it doesn't seem right to judge the group, I need time to evaluate. There are young players with important profiles, the club knows what it needs on the market." "If we think that with my arrival the problems are over, we make a big mistake." Press Conference 09/01/2021
"I'm sorry for Fabio, it is not his fault that the results were lacking. He paid for a difficult situation but the one who deserves to pay most of all is me". "We will have to fight and right now the right person to get us out is Roberto. I hope to have him in Parma for a long time" Press Conference 09/01/2021
"I'm sorry for Fabio Liverani who is an excellent person but unfortunately things didn't work out as we hoped. Now we have to focus on current events. I have full confidence in the players and in Roberto, who was my first choice, so that Parma can rise again." "Our priority is to remain in Serie A and I will do everything in my power to make this happen" Parma - Lazio
10/01/2021 15:00 Stadio Ennio Tardini After weeks of calls for change, the Parma hierarchy finally gave in this week. Atalanta comfortably saw off Parma 3-0 on Wednesday after which Fabio Liverani would be replaced by the man he took over from in the summer, Roberto D'Aversa. The dismal performance in Bergamo was the final straw for President Krause, who along with the Parma support had endured weeks of torture with Parma registering just one point in their previous five games. A run that would see I' Crociati score just one goal whilst conceding 12. D'Aversa's return to the home bench will certainly give the hosts a boost, however the returning tactician faces a tough challenge with up to seven first team players unavailable, including key players such as Kucka, Gagliolo, Iacoponi and Yann Karamoh. Despite the injury crisis, D'Aversa is expected to welcome back Gervinho and Yordan Osorio with both players returning to full training on Friday. Despite Simone Inzaghi's Lazio's somewhat inconsistent form recently, having won just two of their previous five outings, the Biancocelesti will be in confident mood as they visit struggling Parma. Not only are Lazio up against the worst attack in the league, Lazio have only failed to claim victory once in the previous 11 visits to the Tardini, they'll be confident of making that 12 out of 11 visits come 5pm on Sunday evening. Inzaghi will be without the Injured Lulic, Fares and Correa but will have more than enough to see off D'Aversa's desperate Parma. The last time these sides met at the Tardini was back in February 2020 in front of 1sell out crowd, Felipe Caicedo's goal at the end of the first half was enough for Lazio to return to Rome with all three points. As expected Parma today have announced Roberto D'Aversa has returned to the club as first team manager.
D'Aversa brings the following back room team with him - Andrea Tarozzi (Assistant Coach) Alberto Bartoli (Goalkeeping Coach) Luca Morellini (Fitness Coach) Danilo Massi (Fitness Coach) Paolo Giordani (Injury Recovery Coach) Marco Piccioni (Match Analyst) Simone Greco (Match Analyst) Parma Calcio 1913 this morning announced that the company has parted ways with Fabio Liverani and his staff after a tough season so far. The club released the following statement;
"Parma Calcio 1913 reports that Fabio Liverani has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team. The company thanks Liverani and his staff for the work done on the crusader bench and wishes him the best for the rest of his career" |
