Riccardo Musetti spoke ahead of Sunday 's clash with San Marino, stressing he and his team mates must remain calm as they try to tie up automatic promotion.
"Yes we're thinking about automatic promotion but we are doing it calmly and without distraction as we bid to mathematically secure promotion. The positive environment we work in has helped us become so close to our target, great team spirit, fantastic support throughout the city has led us to being nine points clear and undefeated." Musetti then reflected on his first season in Parma and what he expects from Sundays opponents. "Yes the coach has changed our roles throughout the season however we have adapted well to them and these changes have not affected our performance, if anything they have helped improve us. My season has been good, I've been pleased with my performances. When you come to a club like Parma, you know you're at a special place, even if it's in Serie D" "On Sunday we welcome San Marino to The Tardini, I have happy memories against them as I scored against them earlier in the season. We face a difficult game on Sunday as San Marino are on of the form teams in the league as they continue to fight for a playoff place." Follow Me......... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma

Parma's veteran striker celebrated his 150th career goal yesterday as The Ducali march towards the title.
"Today I scored my 150th career goal, I am glad I did it wearing such a special shirt. Every week we always try to play our best, this didn't happen in the first half today but in the second half we were much better and were able to exploit the slightest error our opponents made" Follow me....... @giovannid86 @Slolo_Parma Gigi Apolloni speaks after yesterdays victory over Legnago.
"In the first half the performance made me very angry, in the second however we realized we had to adapt and change things, after doing this we were much Improved and deserved the victory. Only we can throw this championship away now" Follow me........... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Parma's inspiration midfield maestro Davide Giorgino spoke of his delight at close friend Fabio Lauria's 90's minute wonder strike at the weekend which put Parma 9 points clear at the top.
"With Fabio, we are practically brothers, we know each other well and have been friends for a life time, for him to score the last minute winner on Sunday I was doubly happy. He's had two months out injured, he's came back and scored a goal that will go down in the history of Parma as it's a goal that has edged us closer to promotion. Fabio is technically great and his goal was even more important as Agrifogli was sent off giving Romagna Centro the upper hand, Moving forward, we need four wins from seven games to ensure our goal, lets get them as soon as possible and bring greatness back to this glorious club. I believe the current squad we have could compete in Lega Pro no problem. We are nine points clear and undefeated, lets keep this run up from now until the end of the season" Follow me...... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Young wingback Michele Messina celebrated his 20th Birthday this week, and stressed how Parma's huge travelling support can be key to securing victory over Romagna Centro on Sunday.
"On Sunday, the contribution of the fans will as always be crucial, In Cesena, be there!!! The game against Romagna Centro we have the chance to go nine points clear at the top and move a step closer to being mathematically promoted. Yes today is my 20th Birthday, all the greetings I have received I must say a massive thank you. When I came to Parma and Parma Calcio 1913 I wanted to do well, I didn't expect to do so well, the goal I scored against Lentigione is without doubt the highlight of my young career, in the new attacking system I am playing well, I really enjoy it, for me it's hard work, the role of wing back means I have to run a lot more but it is the position for me." Follow Me............@giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Parma's veteran forward Christian Longobardi reflected on his performance last Sunday and called on his team mates to show 'Spirit Parma' going into to this weekends clash with Romagna Centro.
"On Sunday I managed two assists, one for Baraye and one for Melandri, I simply used my strengths to help the team last week, as you can see I can play in different positions. The important thing is not me, it's about the team and the important thing is the spirit we show, we have to show this spirit I call 'Spirit Parma' on Sunday. We are top of the table, in front of us now we are on the home stretch, the final sprint is in sight. Sunday in Cesena against Romagna Centro will be the first step in this home stretch." Follow Me.......... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Parma's pint sized play maker spoke of his return to action, thanking the medical staff for his speedy recovery from his time on the side lines.
"I'm back early from my injury, this is thanks to the hard work of all the medical staff and health and physical trainers. In particular I want to thank Paolo Giordani, who in times of distress and struggle he was there to help me through. Last Sunday my return to action was not discussed with the coach or planned, he probably just liked the way I was training and preparing for the game. With the new system we are playing well, it's a system that suits me and one that lets me express myself and play to my strengths. I feel ready now to be back playing, even from the very first whistle on Sunday. I'm back to being physically fit and hope now to help Parma to win the championship as soon as possible. It is important we win on Sunday as we have the chance to go nine points clear with seven games to play, we must give AltoVicentino credit, they are pressing us all they way to the end of an amazing season. One one hand I can't wait to reach our goal of promotion but on the other i'll be sad when the season ends, cause I'd always rather be playing, the break it kills me, I don't like it" Follow Me....@giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Parma number one, Kristaps Zommers, celebrated his well deserved call up to the Latvia under 21's this week. The shot stopper was quick to thank Parma for this achievement, and pledged his future to the club, saying he wants to play for Parma in Serie A one day.
"The joy I am experiencing at being called up to the Latvia under 21's I share with every one at Parma Calcio 1913, I have to say thank you, thank you for the season I am having, for this experience, to all the coaches, in particular to Ermes Fulgoni and to all my teammates. To be part of one of the best defensive records in Europe is something I am very proud of. The call up with the under 21's has been agreed with the Latvian Football Association as not to clash with my commitments with Parma. My country is aware of the good I am doing at Parma, even the media in Latvia are figuring out what I am doing with Parma. I am extremely proud of this call, hopefully this is just the start, I dream that in three years I will be playing at the top level and playing in Serie A with Parma. For now though we concentrate of current events, which for me and for Parma is the challenge on Sunday against Virtus Castlefranco." Follow me..... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma The coach spoke to the press today ahead of tomorrows clash against Virtus Castlefranco, calling on Parma to remain focused on 'the goal' in sight and to forget about the chasing pack as the lead at the top was cut to just four points during the week.
"We must continue moving forward in our path without being distracted by the results of the chasing pack. Our opponents behind us are doing their thing but we must continue to concentrate and play as a team, this must be our mind set from now until the end of the season." Apolloni was stressing about playing as a team as he went on to talk about the selection headaches he has and how he is trying to keep everyone happy. "Yes, Longobardi could lead the line but in attack now I have so many options, the players who have to sit out have every right to be pissed off as long as they go and take their anger out on to the field when they get their chance. Corapi is another who can play in many roles but I think the midfield is his best position where he can control the pace of the game, Lauria also, I have so many options for him. Miglietta was great last Sunday, his speed was a great weapon for us as he was able to attack helping out Mazzocchi on the wing. Follow Me.....@giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Parma will be glad to see the back of a very inconsistent February, recording just two wins they will be hoping to get March off to a winning start when they make the short trip to take on Romagna Centro on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ducali got back to winning ways on Sunday as a Michele Messina strike was enough to see off Lentigione, Messina was one of Parma's stand outs on Sunday and will be very unlucky if he loses his place to the returning Luca Cacioli. Romagna Centro will be hoping to build on Sundays impressive draw away to high flying Forli, tomorrows hosts currently take up the final relegation playoff spot but will be desperate for points as they are on two points off the safety zone. The last time these two side met back in week 11, Parma took all three points thanks to a 1-0 victory at the Tardini, with Senegalese striker Yves Baraye finding the net on the hour mark. As mentioned Parma welcome back Luca Cacioli from suspension for this one, with the defender expected to go straight back into the starting 11. Luigi Apolloni isn't expected to change too much from the weekends victory with Parma once again lining up in a 4-3-1-2 formation. Parma will be looking to record back to back victories for the first time since January as they continue their push towards promotion. Player Watch - Davide Giorgino Parma's midfield maestro, was excellent in Sundays victory over Lentigione, Giorgino will be hoping to continue this fine form tomorrow as he becomes the heart beat of this Parma team. On Sunday he claimed he was out to silence the critics, tomorrow will be no different. "Today with this victory and performance we have responded to the criticism from the last few weeks......."
