Parma goal machine Yves Baraye spoke this morning ahead of Sunday's clash with Sammaurese, promising to find his shooting boots again after Sundays disappointing display in the 3-0 win over Bellaria at the Tardini.
"I'm fine now, on Sunday I was a bit out of shape, I'm fully recovered now, knowing we are approaching being awarded the league title I am working extra hard to be ready for Sunday and given a start. Last Sunday? I was poor, I know I was, I hardly played, I was only on the field for a walk about, I was out of form, I'm back now though and ready for Sunday." The Senegalese then went on to commit his future to the club and thank coach Luigi Apolloni for his remarkable goal scoring season as well as giving the fans a reassuring promise. "The future? I love Parma, I can only thank him (Luigi Apolloni). I have spent six years in Italy and never have I done so well, It means that I am a good fit for Parma, I am happy and want to continue playing with Parma, not only this year but until Serie A. The other strikers who are being talked about coming to Parma? That does not bother me, you can name all the names you want, the important thing is to prove my worth. If certain names come in, we will welcome them, I'm not afraid, If I were afraid I would stop playing. I want to play at the highest levels, competition makes me give more, it always brings the maximum out in me. I made my choice, I want to stay at Parma." "Apolloni this season? He has done a lot of hard work on me, he had always spoken to me but not as a coach, a father. I sometimes get angry with myself, I sometimes disagree with the coach but it is he who decides, he always explains his decisions to me, he is only trying to help me improve." "A promise to the fans? I want to stay, I am happy here. I hear so many voices linking me away from Parma but I do not listen to them, I am here to stay."
