An angry Alessandro Lucarelli has written to former President Tommaso Ghirardi to the Tardini on Sunday to face the people he ‘let down’ and ‘embarrassed’ as his new club Brescia visit to face Lucarelli and Co.
“Dear President, For you Sunday will be a very special match, between your home town team and the one you’ve done a great deal with. I'm just sorry you went away President, because you could have bragged the way you liked to about brining Parma back to "Where Parma belongs", but you are not like that, you like to do good then run away so you can leave it all in good memory. That's why I officially invite you to the stadium on Sunday to see the game, so we can thank you in person. If you accept I ask, just as a courtesy, please come early, because there will be so many of us, in the front row I will put the employees you left without work, the fans who you left heartbroken to a whole city you humiliated in front of the whole of Italy, finally the players you left without contract or wages. One last thing I ask of you, if have a spare seat in the car then bring your friend from Rome with you (Pietro Leonardi) because I think its right we recognise him and all the ‘work’ he done here. I recommend that before you leave the stand try to find your way to the lobby the name might be able to teach you something, avoid going to the museum though because in our 104 year history, despite the good we done under you, you do not exist!”
