Name - Francesco Corapi
Position - Midfield Age - 30 D.O.B - 22 December 1985 Place of Birth - Catanzaro, Italy Height - 1.65m (5'5") Date Joined Parma - August 2015 Parma's pint sized midfielder began his career back in 2005, the then 20 year old Corapi was given his chance by home town club U.S. Catanzaro when he appeared in the final two rounds of the 2004/05 Serie B season. Corapi has been at numerous clubs throughout his 10 year career, with his two Serie B appearances back in 2005 being the highest level he would play at. Since then Corapi has been at a number of Italian lower league teams, most notably on his return to Catanzaro back in 2008. Spending two and a half years back at his hometown club, Corapi caught the eye of Lega Pro Prima Divisione outfit Siracusa, it was a move that never quite worked out for Corapi, spending just one season with the Azzurri. Corapi would have brief spells at Vibonese and Nocerina in Serie D before a move to L'Aquila in 2013. The little midfielder would find some form with his new club, spending two years there, with Corapi rackeing up over 60 appearances. His form would catch the eye of newly formed Parma Calcio 1913 in 2015. The Parma faithful quickly took Corapi to their hearts with him becoming somewhat of a fans favourite, with the midfielder playing his part in putting Parma top of the tree in Serie D (Group D) with some eye catching performances. Adopting more of an attacking midfielder role under coach Luigi Apolloni, Corapi has thrived chipping in with five goals already this season, a tally will be hoping to as Parma press on to secure automatic promotion.
