Genoa v Parma
07/10/2018 Stadio Luigi Ferraris 11:30am (UK) Parma travel to Genoa for the early kick off on Sunday afternoon in what looks to be an intriguing matchup. Sunday’s host currently lie in sixth place with a game in hand, while Parma sit in tenth as they come into this fixture on the back of a 1-0 victory over Empoli last time out. Roberto D’Aversa will be looking for captain Bruno Alves to lead from the back once again, the Portuguese veteran has impressed since arriving from Rangers in the summer with Parma conceding just eight goals in their opening seven games, picking up three clean sheets in their three wins so far. Parma may have to do without man of the moment Gervinho for this one, the Ivorian picked up a strain in his left thigh against Empoli and has been receiving treatment all week, Federico Di Marco has also undergone treatment all week after picking up an abductor and abdominal injury last time out. Roberto Inglese was eased back into training on Wednesday having missed last weekend and remains a major doubt for the trip to Genoa on Sunday, while Antonio Di Gaudio is expected to get over a bout of flu to be available for selection. Parma will need to keep an eye on Genoa’s record breaker Krzysztof Piatek with the Polish forward scoring eight goals so far this season, Parma know if they can keep Piatek quiet they have a chance in this one as without him they have only mustered up three goals. Genoa will be favourites and full of confidence as they look to record three wins on the bonce, coming into this having seen off Frosinone and Chievo in the previous two rounds, despite this good from Sundays hosts have already conceded 11 goals so far this season, including five against Sassuolo and four against Lazio, so Parma know there will be chances. The last time Parma visited the Stadio Luigi Ferraris to face Genoa, was back in April 2015, where the home side were comfortable 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Iago Falque and Leonardo Pavoletti. @Solo_Parma @giovannid86
