Parma’s fate was sealed last Wednesday night, with Roberto Donadoni admitting his side were “Steamrollered” and “Outclassed” as Stefano Pioli’s impressive Lazio crushed The Ducali 4-0. As Parma were being taught a mid-week footballing lesson in Rome, The Sardinians went down 1-0 at the Betegodi at the hands of Chievo who sealed their Serie A status for another year. Cagliari now sit nine points off safety so three point is a must tonight for I Rossoblu. Gianluca Festa’s side will be desperately aiming to get three points on the board when they face Parma in tonight’s round 34 clash or they too could be heading the same way as the the Emiliani and out of Italy’s top flight. .Parma can go into this under no pressure and will be hoping to get back to the impressive performances they put in before being stopped in their tracks at Lazio. Roberto Donadoni will be without goalkeeper Antonio Mirante and Algerian forward Ishak Belfodil, both missing out through suspension, with Belfodil missing out and goals hard to come by this season, Donadoni will hand young forward Massimo Coda his chance to impress. As for Cagliari, Gianluca Festa will be unable to call upon Andrea Cossu and defender Nicola Murru, both sitting this one out due to suspension. Festa will have on lone top scorer Diego Farias in his ranks and will be hoping the Argentine winger can give Cagliari a glimmer of hope going into the last few weeks of the season. The last time these sides met back in December it was a 0-0 stalemate at the Tardini, don’t be surprised if it’s the same outcome tonight as both sides have really struggled in front of goal this season hence the poor league positions of both teams. Probable Line – ups Caglairi – Brkic, Pisano, Ceppitteli, Diakite, Avelar, Dessena, Ekdal, Joao Pedro, M’Poku, Cop, Ferias. Parma – Iacobucci, Lucarelli, Costa, Feddal, Cassani, Lila, Jorquera, Nocerino, Varela, Coda, Ghezzal. By Giovanni Dougall @giovannid86
