The man behind the demise of Sammaurese yesterday Francesco Corapi spoke of the delight of his goal as Pama begin preparations to go for Scudetto glory.
“It was good, I saw the goalkeeper was trying to return to his area after a poor clearance, I stopped and lifted the ball over him, we were determined to finish the season unbeaten so yesterday was a great result, to achieve the unbeaten record was of great incentive to us and is an achievement that will go down in history. Despite being mathematically promoted for a few weeks now we aimed to keep the intensity high within the camp and remain to play with an open mind and a high level which we have done and well. Now there is the poule scudetto which is huge for this club and city, we have a duty to go and win this, the fans are enthusiastic and have a great desire to win this, we must make this dream come true.” Follow me.... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Facebook - Solo Parma

"I'm fine now, on Sunday I was a bit out of shape, I'm fully recovered now, knowing we are approaching being awarded the league title I am working extra hard to be ready for Sunday and given a start. Last Sunday? I was poor, I know I was, I hardly played, I was only on the field for a walk about, I was out of form, I'm back now though and ready for Sunday." The Senegalese then went on to commit his future to the club and thank coach Luigi Apolloni for his remarkable goal scoring season as well as giving the fans a reassuring promise. "The future? I love Parma, I can only thank him (Luigi Apolloni). I have spent six years in Italy and never have I done so well, It means that I am a good fit for Parma, I am happy and want to continue playing with Parma, not only this year but until Serie A. The other strikers who are being talked about coming to Parma? That does not bother me, you can name all the names you want, the important thing is to prove my worth. If certain names come in, we will welcome them, I'm not afraid, If I were afraid I would stop playing. I want to play at the highest levels, competition makes me give more, it always brings the maximum out in me. I made my choice, I want to stay at Parma." "Apolloni this season? He has done a lot of hard work on me, he had always spoken to me but not as a coach, a father. I sometimes get angry with myself, I sometimes disagree with the coach but it is he who decides, he always explains his decisions to me, he is only trying to help me improve." "A promise to the fans? I want to stay, I am happy here. I hear so many voices linking me away from Parma but I do not listen to them, I am here to stay." Interview - Parma Fanzine Follow Me - @giovanni86 @Solo_Parma Facebook - Solo Parma After yesterdays 12-2 friendly win over Fontanellatese, Cristian Longobardi spoke of his delight at returning to action and what his future holds.
"It was important for me to return to the field with the group and get playing again. Sammaurese on Sunday? It will not be easy, they have nothing to lose and have had a great championship, if we play the way we know we can then we have a great opportunity to get a result. Next year? I know I am at a certain age (33) I don't want to think about this at the moment, I just want to feel good and be ready for the beginning of the new season, I want to remain here in Parma to play my football but we will make the appropriate assessments in the summer. New competition? The important thing is to stay healthy and help the team, no one has even handed me anything, I have always worked hard and earned anything I have achieved." Interview by ParmaLive.com Follow Me.... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Facebook - Solo Parma Former Parma forward and Serie A veteran Amauri has finally commented on the rumours linking him with a possible return to Parma.
Speaking to ParmaLive.com the 35 year old said; "I saw something in the papers and heard some voices, I have also received some messages from my friends in Parma. I do not know what will happen, we will see, at the moment I am at home resting, but you can talk, why not? In Parma I hold some wonderful memories, we will see what's in store during the summer." Amauri became a fans favourite at Parma during his third spell at the club between 2012 and 2014 under the guidance of Roberto Donadoni, playing a key role in the clubs record breaking unbeaten streak of the 2013/14 season helping the Ducali 'qualify' for Europe.......... we all know what happened next there. With the uncertainty surrounding Parma at the start of the 2014/15 season, Amauri joined Torino, however making just twenty appearances and scoring just a single goal, the powerhouse striker now finds himself a free agent, if he does choose to return for a fourth spell at The Tardini, I'm sure it will be a welcome one by all involved at the club as Parma aim for back to back promotions. By Giovanni Dougall Follow me...... @giovannid86 @Solo_Parma Facebook - Solo Parma As soon as he could, Massimo Gobbi came back 'home' to support us, Gobbi now plying his trade with Chievo Verona was back at The Tardini on Sunday to help celebrate Parma's return to professional football. The ex Vice Captain, pictured with his great friend and current captain Alessandro Lucarelli was there to cheer Parma on to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bellaria on Sunday. Gobbi who spent five years with Parma made over 150 appearances between 2010 and 2015, it's a place Gobbi holds close to his heart and the feeling his very much mutual. We hope to see you again soon, Grazie Massimo.
